UNICELLULAR VS. MULTICELLULAR

Organisms can consist of one cell or many cells:
simple organisms are UNICELLULAR (made of only ONE cell)
complex organisms are MULTICELLULAR (made of MANY cells)

There are advantages to being multicellular rather than unicellular. These include allowing:
1.The organism can be larger
2.Cell differentiation (having different types of cells with different functions which allows for organs and tissue to develop)
3.The organisms can be much more complex
